Yesterday I was outside Annenberg talking to this girl in my journalism law class on break, and we're standing like two feet apart on the front landing, at the top of all the stairs. there were tons of birds in the ceiling of the awning thingy above us, all these sparrows, that had made little nests in the eaves. I had just commented on the number of little bird nests when we heard a plop between us. I thought at first that it was shit, so I started to check myself for drips, and then looked down to see the ugliest, grossest little baby bird on earth writhing on the ground.
I think I might have been a little traumatized by it; not only was the thing gross and creepy, but I feel terrible that the little thing fell next to me and there was nothing I could have done to help it. Anyway, I can't walk in through that entrance anymore. I now come in the back by Johnson Hall.
